At Generator, our programs focus on three areas that reflect our mission and principles—
Building on the work of founder, Ryan Gravel’s interpretation of the social and cultural impacts of physical infrastructure, we focus on all forms of data to understand everything from vehicle automation to disaster preparedness. By exposing people to a wide range of topics through both analysis and personal experiences, we equip people to see their world more broadly.
We are committed to preparing a new generation of visionaries and change-makers. Generator Workshop is a curriculum-based series in which participants generate and cultivate ideas around specific themes or focus areas. Designed to work with multiple interest groups, disciplines and fields of expertise, Generator Workshop participants learn methods of inclusion, creative thinking and experimentation.
Generator creatively engages people in the social and
cultural life of their city by translating the outcomes of
our interpretation and cultivation work through events, art, music, performances, and film. Through our physical space
in collaboration with our restaurant partner, Aftercar, patrons experientially see their city in a new light, to appreciate its role in shaping their lives and their role in shaping the city.
